Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Powder Score work? expand_more
The Powder Score is a 0-100 rating that combines eight factors: recent snowfall, snow forecast, temperature, wind speed, wind direction, base depth, snow density, and historical averages. Higher scores indicate better powder conditions. A score above 80 is considered an exceptional powder day.
Which resorts are supported? expand_more
Shredders covers 53 resorts across 11 regions: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia, Utah, Colorado, California, Wyoming, Montana, Vermont, and New Mexico. We are actively adding more resorts each season based on user requests.
How does trip planning work? expand_more
The trip planning feature shows real-time road conditions and pass status for routes to your selected resort. You can create ski trip events, invite friends via RSVP, and coordinate carpools. The AI chat can also help you plan multi-day trips and suggest the best days to go.
How do I set up powder alerts? expand_more
In the iOS app, go to Settings and tap "Powder Alerts." Select your favorite resorts and set your minimum powder score threshold. You will receive push notifications when conditions meet your criteria. On the web app, alerts are sent via email. Make sure notifications are enabled in your device settings.
