PookieB ("we," "us," or "our") operates Shredders, a snow conditions and ski trip planning application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our iOS app and web application. By using Shredders, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
With your permission, we collect your device's location to show nearby resorts, provide relevant road conditions, and enable resort check-ins. Location data is used in real-time and is not stored beyond your active session unless you check in at a resort.
We store your favorite resorts, powder alert thresholds, and notification preferences to personalize your experience and deliver relevant alerts.
When you use social features, we collect your check-ins, photos, comments, likes, trip events, RSVP responses, and carpool participation. Your social profile and activity may be visible to other users.
Conversations with the AI chat feature are sent to our AI providers for processing. Chat history may be stored to provide context for follow-up questions and to improve the service. You can delete your chat history at any time in the app settings.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo. If you sign in via Apple or Google, we receive the information you authorize those providers to share.
We use the following third-party services to operate Shredders:

Each third-party service is governed by its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest, secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Check-in history and social content are retained until you delete them. AI chat history can be cleared at any time. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Shredders is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of Shredders after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
