After signing up, tap the "+" button on the home screen. You'll be taken to the rich text editor powered by Quill. Write your thoughts, add images, tag your location, and select a mood. Tap "Save" when you're done. Your entry defaults to private.
Yes. The rich editor supports inline images from your camera roll or camera. You can also add location tags from your current position or search for a place. Each entry supports multiple photos.
Each journal entry lets you select a mood from a set of options. Over time, DayByDay builds a mood timeline so you can see patterns in how you feel and what influences your wellbeing.
Write at least one journal entry per day to build your streak. Your streak count is displayed on your profile and in the leaderboard. Miss a day and your streak resets to zero, so stay consistent.
Leaderboards rank you and your connections by current streak length and total entries. It's a friendly way to stay motivated and celebrate each other's consistency.
You can pair up with a friend as accountability partners. You'll both receive reminders to journal and notifications when the other person writes an entry. It helps keep both of you on track.

Yes. Go to Settings and tap "Export Data." You can download all your journal entries as a JSON or PDF file, including images and metadata. Your data belongs to you and you can take it with you at any time.

Go to the Social tab and search for friends by username. Send a connection request and once they accept, you'll see their shared entries in your social feed. You can also share your invite link directly.
share How do I share a journal entry?
Open any entry and tap the share icon. You can share with all your connections, select specific friends, or generate a public link. Entries are always private by default until you explicitly choose to share them.
favorite Can I react to and comment on entries?
Yes. When viewing a friend's shared entry, you can add reactions (emoji-based) and leave text comments. This creates a supportive environment that encourages consistent journaling.
