ACL Solutions LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Wilco web application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Wilco.

1. Information We Collect

Training Session Data

When you use Wilco, we collect data related to your training sessions, including:

  • Scenario selections and completion status
  • Difficulty level choices
  • Phraseology accuracy scores and response times
  • Session duration and frequency
  • Performance metrics and improvement trends

This data is stored locally in your browser and used to power performance tracking charts and analytics within the App.

Voice Recordings

Voice input is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored. When you use voice mode:

  • Your speech is captured by the Web Speech API built into your browser
  • Speech is converted to text locally by your browser's speech recognition engine
  • The resulting text is sent to our AI for phraseology validation and ATC response generation
  • Raw audio recordings are never transmitted to or stored on our servers

Performance Metrics

We collect aggregated, anonymized performance metrics to improve the App, including:

  • Most and least practiced scenarios
  • Common phraseology errors (anonymized)
  • Average session duration and completion rates
  • Difficulty level distribution

Usage Data

We may automatically collect basic usage information, including:

  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages and features accessed
  • General interaction patterns

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Wilco does not collect:

  • Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
  • Account credentials or passwords (no account required)
  • Payment or financial information
  • Location data
  • Contacts or address book information
  • Persistent voice recordings or audio files

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely to:

  • Provide AI-powered ATC training responses and phraseology feedback
  • Display performance tracking charts and improvement analytics
  • Improve scenario design and training content
  • Fix bugs and optimize App performance
  • Understand usage patterns to improve the training experience

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may process data:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): Hosts our application infrastructure. See AWS Privacy Policy.
  • OpenAI: Powers AI ATC responses and phraseology validation. Text transcriptions of your radio calls are processed by OpenAI's API to generate responses. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
  • ElevenLabs: Provides text-to-speech for ATC voice output. ATC response text is sent to ElevenLabs to generate audio. See ElevenLabs Privacy Policy.

We do not share your data with these providers beyond what is necessary to deliver the App's functionality. None of these providers receive raw audio recordings from your microphone.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

We may share information only:

  • With service providers who help operate the App (as described above)
  • If required by law or legal process
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or others

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information:

  • All API communications use HTTPS encryption
  • Voice data is processed in real-time and not permanently stored
  • Training session data is stored locally in your browser
  • No personal identification data is collected or stored on our servers

7. Data Retention

Training session data and performance metrics are stored locally in your browser's storage. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser data or using the App's reset function. Anonymized, aggregated usage analytics may be retained indefinitely to improve the App.

8. Your Choices

You have control over your data:

  • Voice Input: You can choose to use text input instead of voice at any time
  • Microphone Access: You can enable or disable microphone access in your browser settings
  • Local Data: You can clear all training data by clearing your browser storage
  • Cookies: You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings

9. Children's Privacy

Wilco is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
